Since founding MicroTech in 2004, Tony has grown the business into a profitable multi-million dollar company with over 350 highly skilled professionals supporting over 60 prime contracts with civilian and defense agencies of the Federal government.
As a former Federal government executive with more than 25 years experience in Information Technology, Strategic Planning, Enterprise Transformation, and Acquisition Management, Tony guided DoD’s efforts to solve complex and critical platform transformation challenges facing Government organizations. He has an extensive background in Project Management, Acquisition Management, large-scale IT Systems Implementation, IT Infrastructure, Enterprise Business Reengineering, and Systems Integration.
Tony is a highly decorated veteran, has an MA in Computers and Information Systems, an MS in Acquisition Management and a BS in Business Management from St. Marys University. He is a certified Program Manager, Chief Information Officer, and IT professional and has served as a Government Contracting Officer where he held numerous unlimited contracting warrants for the Federal government.

As Chief Operating Officer, Steve Truitt has profit and loss responsibility service delivery oversight for all MicroTech programs. In addition he is a key advisor to MicroTech’s CEO on strategic business development and key corporate planning issues and makes recommendations on major business decisions. He ensures effective and efficient delivery of MicroTech’s products and services, developing the organizations strategy/mission statement and instantiating it throughout the delivery organization. His role includes ensuring program staff possesses the requisite skills and experience to perform contractually-mandated work, as well as administering Quality Assurance and Customer Satisfaction initiatives.
Steve offers more than 25 years of experience in transforming enterprises through the strategic use of Information Technology. He has worked as both an executive building technology services businesses with P&L responsibility and as an IT consultant for leading global consultancies like Booz Allen Hamilton and Price Waterhouse. Steve has broad General Management experience and deep expertise in all aspects of the System Implementation Life Cycle – from IT strategy through Process Design, Architecture, Software Development and Implementation.
Steve’s career highlights feature significant leadership roles, such as President of Origin Technology in Business (OTIB), the North American operating arm of Origin B.V., a $2 billion European-based IT consultancy (now ATOS-Origin). At BSG/Alliance IT, a leading client server integrator, Steve was a Managing Director, directing 200 consultants. He was the Systems Development Director for Telaction, a first-of-its-kind interactive home shopping system developed by J.C. Penney. Telaction was a precursor to the Internet and e-Commerce. Steve also co-founded e2i, an international systems integration and Internet services consultancy.
Steve received a BA in Economics from Wake Forest University, and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
Dave Coker is responsible for building and developing MicroTech’s DoD business, area. He leads our most diverse organization that combines our problem-solving orientation with our technical knowledge and experience to provide a unique ability to enable DoD, DISA, MDA, Army, Air Force, Navy and Marine customers to achieve success no matter what the mission. His business unit has deep expertise in the cross-cutting functional capabilities of: Unified Communications; Telecommunications; Audio & Video Communications; Network Management; System & Server Administration; Data Base Management & Administration; Software & Application Support; Modeling & Analysis Support; Web Development & Support; IT Help Desk Customer Service; Portfolio Management; Information Assurance; Strategic Initiatives & Operations Support; Resourcing & Funding Coordination; Logistics; Contract Management; Consulting Services; and Training, In addition, he is the organization’s Senior Logistics Information Technology Subject-Matter-Expert.
Dave has been a member of MicroTech Team since 2007 and offers over 30 years experience in IT HW/SW Development and Deployment, Government Contracting, Logistics, Strategic Planning, Training, Transformation, and Resource Planning, Programming, Budgeting & Execution. He is ITIL, CPCM, and DAWIA certified in Program Management, Contracting, Test & Evaluation, and Information Technology. His career highlights include recognition as two-time winner of Federal Computer Week’s Fed 100 Award; recipient of Government Computer News’ IT Leadership Award; and the Defense Logistics’ Logistician of the Year.
A highly-decorated U.S. Army Veteran with over 27 years of service with overseas duty in Germany, South Korea, Egypt, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Iraq. He is a graduate of the Army’s Command and General Staff College, the Defense Acquisition University Program Manager’s Course, and the Industrial College of the Armed Forces. Dave holds a Masters degree in Business Administration, and a MS in Procurement & Contract Management from Florida Institute of Technology, a MS in National Resource Management from the National Defense University, and a BS in Business Administration from Christopher Newport University.
Randy Moulton has P&L responsibilities for MicroTech business in the Federal, State, Local, and Commercial spaces. He leverages corporate resources to optimize business strategies and expand market share. In addition to the many MicroTech professionals supporting our government clients, the Fed/Civ Programs Business Unit includes Business Development, Capture Management, Proposal Management, and Program Management of large GWAC and IDIQ contracts. Randy also plays a critical role in the corporate transition from a highly successful Information Technology Small Business into a world-class Systems Integrator and Unified Communications Industry Leader.
Randy offers over 30 years experience in supporting DoD and Government programs. He has an exceptionally broad background including Program and Project Management, Acquisition Support, Joint Operations, Strategic Planning, Proposal and Capture Management, Intelligence, Healthcare Performance, Logistics and Legislative Affairs. He is a highly decorated U.S. Air Force Veteran having served primarily in Special Operations and Personnel Recovery.
Randy is a U.S. Air Force Academy graduate and has an M.S. in International Relations from Troy University. He served as a National Defense Fellow at Georgetown University teaching U.S. Defense Policy. He is a certified Project Management Professional with the Project Management Institute.
Bob Otto manages MicroTech’s UCC, including Customer Service, Order Management, Purchasing, and Distribution. Through this role, he champions the MicroTech vision of developing UCC applications into a competitive advantage. Bob has more than four decades of experience with Technology-related firms including leadership roles in Audio-Visual Telecommunications, Software and Hardware Product Development, Strategic Business Planning, Operations, Finance, and Marketing.
Before his current role, Bob held several executive positions including Chief Operating Officer of an Audio/Visual/Security company based in Greensboro, NC. Prior to this, he was with AT&T, where he held leadership roles in support of commercial and government private networks’ Product Development and Life Cycle Planning. Additionally, he spent over four years with Lucent Technologies where he led the implementation of Mergers and Acquisitions and growth of the Optical Networking Division.
Bob holds a Masters Certificate in Government Programs, and a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from the New York Institute of Technology, in Glen Cove, NY
Joe Staehly leads the UCC Engineering & Sales Team overseeing all the pre-installation activities. In addition, as the Chief Technology Officer, Joe Staehly provides the technical vision that guides MicroTech business strategy and enhances the organization’s competitive position. In this important role, Joe monitors new technologies and assesses their potential as possible new products and services, and directs important research projects to ensure that they add value to the company. He closely assesses potential vendors from a technical viewpoint and develops strategic relationships with relevant industry leaders. Joe’s role includes delivering technically-focused sales presentations to clients, at trade shows, and key industry events.
Joe held previous management roles in the Digital Conferencing field, at ECI Conference Call Services, where he was Vice President of Enterprise Solutions focused on Marketing and Sales, and as a Senior Project Manager at Lucent Technologies and Project Manager at AT&T, involved in developing Conferencing networks and systems.
Joe is MCSE certified, and holds a BA degree in Communications from Temple University, and a Masters certificate in Project Management from George Washington University.
Steve Pace leads MicroTech’s Sales and Product Solutions team, made up of Field Sales, Inside Sales, and the Program Management of key product solution contracts like NASA SEWP IV and FAA SAVES.
Steve’s Sales and Product Solutions team manages vendor partner relationships that complement MicroTech services in technology areas like Servers and Storage, Data Center Consolidation and Virtualization, Cyber Security, Mobile & Wireless, and Networking Computing, as well as Green IT and Cloud Computing initiatives.
For over 20 years, Steve has been proven performer in government sales management roles with leading manufacturers like Nortel Networks and Timeplex Federal Systems; enterprise software security firms like Internet Security Systems (ISS) and Cloakware; and with Falcon Microsystems and GTSI channel technology resellers.
Steve is a graduate of the University of Virginia with a BA in Rhetoric and Communications Studies.
As the Senior Vice President for Business Development, Richard Solomon provides strategic leadership, business development, and marketing support for MicroTech’s DoD Programs Business Unit, with a focus on Government Consulting and IT Network products, services, and solutions. He identifies and qualifies business opportunities in all stages of the sales process and develops strategies, plans, and actions to assist clients and industry partners in delivering the best value and best practice solutions. As an integral member of the MicroTech Team, Richard leads a team that actively develops and nurtures the DoD Programs, New Business pipeline and assists in positioning the organization’s industry-leading services to capably support DoD requirements .
Richard offers over 15 years of Business Development, Capture Management, and Program Management experience. Prior to joining MicroTech, Richard served as Vice President of Business Development (BD) at McLean, VA-based SAIC, directing BD efforts with key customer accounts and Capture Management for High Priority/Value pursuits. He was responsible for a team of BD executives and a new business pipeline that supported the growth objectives of one of SAIC’s largest Business Units. As a Strategic Account Manager, he was responsible for coordinating the capabilities of SAIC business units across the U.S. and developing corporate sales campaign plans. Prior to that role, as Business Development Manager Richard led business development and capture and proposal efforts for SAIC’s Systems Engineering, Modeling, Simulation and Training Business Unit in Orlando. He began his career as Partner and CEO of a Middle Eastern defense services firm providing support to US Army ARCENT, Joint Task Force – Southwest Asia (JTF-SWA), Office of the Program Manager – Saudi Arabia National Guard (OPM-SANG), and the United States Military Training Mission (USMTM). Richard is a decorated veteran of Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm where he served with the US Army 18th Airborne Corps.
Tom Hodges is responsible for delivering new business programs within Department of Defense for MicroTech. Tom has over 30 years experience in information technology leadership with companies such as EDS, PRC, Ernst and Young and CSC. His industry experience includes financial services, telecommunications, information systems, distribution and manufacturing, hospitality, and government services. Tom has served as Capture Manager, Proposal Manager, and has written major sections for several well known federal programs, including a $740 million win of AWIPS at NOAA, a $650 million win at EPA, a NASA win of the Headquarters computer outsourcing operations contract, a similar contract at the Executive Office of the President of the United States and others.
Mr. Hodges is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and has executed leadership in a number of assignments that improved operations for organizations, often in complex technology situations. Several of these situations involved high-profile; large-scale government scientific programs aimed at solution development and implementation of next-generation technologies, such as the NOAA GOES (Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite) Program and the Army’s Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) program.
Tom has written strategic business plans for major corporations and government agencies such as US Sprint and NASA. He has developed a methodology for strategic planning that was used successfully at NASA involving the writing of a technology forecast volume that supports the strategic vision of the plan.
He holds Bachelors and Masters from the University of Virginia, where he quarterbacked the football team, leading the Atlantic Coast Conference in passing offense. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from American University with Honors.
Byron (By) Athan is MicroTech’s Senior Vice President for Business Development within federal civilian agencies. In this position he is responsible for ensuring the successful translation of the strategic plan into sustainable business expansion. Together with the rest of the federal civilian team, they identify business opportunities and develop plans of action to close sales by providing solutions to customers/clients and partners using MicroTech’s proprietary processes, as well as, partner and industry best practices.
By recently joined MicroTech after 11 years with SNVC, a small IT solutions company, after serving in positions of Project Manager, VP for Strategic Development, and Chief Operating Officer. During this period he headed up projects for the Internal Revenue Service, the White House, the Transportation Security Agency, and was the lead for the design of the US Army Installation Management Command CIO functions. As the COO he helped guide the company’s doubling in size over a 3 year period. Prior to working for SNVC, By was a career Army officer spending time in Air Defense Artillery and the Acquisition Corps with assignments worldwide. As a member of the Acquisition Corps, he has worked in both Contracting and Program positions developing, procuring, and maintaining weapon systems, C3 systems, and IT programs.
Byron holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from Webster University and a Bachelors of Science degree from San Jose State University.
Bill Lytle is MicroTech's Senior Vice President for Capture within federal civilian agencies. Bill is responsible for delivering new business programs within federal civilian agencies for MicroTech. Bill has over 23 years experience in information technology leadership with the federal government and small business that grew to $20M.
Bill has led major proposals and has written major sections for several well known federal program wins, including a $560 million win of AITS at NGB, a $158 million geospatial win at IMCOM, an Army Knowledge Online/Defense Knowledge Online win for their first PMO contract as well as the initial 5 year contract and the recomplete 5 year contract for the National Guard Bureau’s GuardNet enterprise, operating in all 54 states and territories and valued at $186 million.
Bill recently joined MicroTech after nearly 12 years with SNVC, a small IT solutions company that helped grow from $0 to $20 million during his time as an owner. During his time he has served in several positions; Sr. Program Manager, Chief Technology Officer, Chief Information Officer, Chief Strategy Officer, VP of Capture, Quality Assurance Manager and Board of Director. During this period he headed up numerous internal corporate projects as well as led capture for over $300M in awards.
Mr. Lytle is a member of Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) and sits on the AFCEA International Technology Committee and is also a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP).
Aaron Drabkin leads MicroTech’s Contracts and Legal team, made up of Contracts, Subcontracts, Procurement and Legal Professionals.
Aaron’s Contracts and Legal team manages all of MicroTech’s prime and subcontracts, procurement, and legal matters.
As a Vice Chair of the American Bar Association’s Public Contract Law Committee, Small Business & Other Socioeconomic Programs Subcommittee and a Vice President of Mentoring Programs for the Tysons Corner Chapter of the National Contract Management Association Aaron is active in the contracts and legal community.
Aaron holds a JD from the American University Washington College of Law and a BA from Washington and Jefferson College.
Paul Price is responsible for the oversight of the Corporate Headquarter Operations, leading the Human Resources, Recruiting, Marketing, Security, and Quality Assurance departments. Paul coordinates with the CEO, other senior staff, and business unit leaders to ensure top-notch support for core business systems involving Engineering and Network Design, Packaged Solution Selection and Integration, Custom Application and Web Development, Enterprise Architecture, Business Process Reengineering, Design and Improvement, Program Management Support, Audio-Visual Telecommunications, and IT Enterprise Management services and support.
Paul, a retired Air Force officer, has over 26 years experience in the Management Field, serving in an array of executive positions specializing in Human Capital Management.
Paul has a BA in Communications from the University of New Hampshire, and a MS in Personnel Administration from Buffalo State College, State University of New York.
As Chief Financial Officer, Tomas Esterrich manages MicroTech’s day-to-day financial operations, as well as Planning and Strategy. Tomas brings to MicroTech 42 years of financial management experience, including an exceptional 20-year career as a highly-decorated military officer in the U.S. Army Finance Corps.
Tomas served in a variety of military roles all over the world including as the Deputy Commander and Comptroller for the Red River Army Depot, administering an annual operating budget of over $260 million and supervising over 6,000 personnel. Most recently, he was a Senior Consultant at Toffler Associates, developing business and management strategies in Homeland Security and Defense issues for the government and private sector.
In his 22-year private sector career, Tomas also held key financial management roles at Bromon Aircraft Corp., Chase Manhattan Bank, Luis Acosta, Inc., Nestle Puerto Rico, and as President and CEO with his own company – T.E. Systems, Inc., a SBA 8(a) certified and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business. He also has diverse entrepreneurial experience in sales, business development, resources, projects, programs, logistics, procurement, contracting, facilities, human capital, organizational, functional and strategic planning consulting in private, not-for-profit and federal government organizations.
Tomas has Senior Military Schooling and Technical Training in Finance, Accounting, and in Foreign Areas (Spain, Latin America) with the U.S. Army, and holds a BBA in Business Administration from the University of Puerto Rico, and a MS in Systems Management from the University of Southern California.
Preston performs the duties of the Chief Information Officer (CIO), managing the MicroTech corporate network to facilitate operational capacity on a daily basis. In an effort to reach maximum technical efficiencies, he provides valuable insight and guidance on the deployment of emerging technologies and applications in an enterprise and development environment. Preston manages vendors, strategic relationships with leading technology brands like Microsoft, Symantec, EMC, Autonomy, Tandberg, VMware, and Adobe, and coordinates with internal departments on their IT needs.
Preston has over 12 years experience in the Information Technology Field as a Senior Systems Engineer and Subject Matter Expert; nine years directly related to the U.S. Army and DoD IT environments.
Preston has an AS in Microcomputer Engineering Technology, and a BS in Computer Engineering Technology, both at Penn. State University.
As Senior Vice President for Strategic Partnerships, Rod provides strategic leadership, business development, and marketing support for MicroTech with a focus on government consulting and IT network, services, solutions, and products. He identifies and qualifies business opportunities in all stages of the business life cycle and develops strategies, plans, and actions to successfully assist clients and industry partners in developing and delivering best value, best practice solutions. As an integral member of the MicroTech Team of management, technical, and support professionals, Rod actively develops and nurtures strategic alliances and assists in integrating technical capabilities to support opportunities in emerging markets. He leads the team’s activities by identifying winning themes, ensuring clients’ needs and requirements are met, expanding capabilities, and targeting new business areas.
After an impressive Air Force career, his final assignment was as the Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force (CMSAF). As the CMSAF he represented the highest enlisted level of leadership, and as such, provided direction for the enlisted corps and represented their interests, as appropriate, to the American public, and to those in all levels of government. He served as the personal adviser to the Chief of Staff and the Secretary of the Air Force on all issues regarding the welfare, readiness, morale, and proper utilization and progress of the enlisted force. Chief Master Sergeant (Ret) McKinley was the 15th Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force appointed to the highest noncommissioned officer position.
