Project Manager III

Job Statement
The Level IIIProject Manager (PM) is responsible for cradle to grave management of assigned projects. He/she serves as MicroTech's Point of Contact with various Government and Commercial customers. Prepares and submits Purchase Requisitions. Supervise Project Teams consisting of engineers, programmers, and technicians. Prepares and chairs installations Kickoff , Deployment, and After Action Report meetings. Negotiates Scope and Contract Value with Subcontractors. Responsible for following Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) processes.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise, direct and participate as required in the following project management activities across multiple projects:
- Managing and coordinating the analysis, engineering, design, standards development, and installation/implementation of telecommunication, video teleconferencing and security projects.
- The analysis of a customer statement of requirements, managing the system design and detail engineering and the development of price quotes.
- Developing the project implementation schedule.
- Ensuring the execution of projects within cost and schedule objectives.
- Working directly with customers, technicians, and support personnel to meet deadlines.
- Working on a variety of projects.
- May supervise or train and be assisted by lower level Project Managers or technical staff.
- Execution and documentation of site surveys. Generation of site survey reports to be used in design and/or deployment of systems and or equipment.
- Other functions as required to meet the needs of the company.
Qualifications / Skills & Knowledge Requirements
- BS degree in engineering or a related discipline with six (6) years project management experience
- (3) years project management/engineering supervision; or an MS degree in engineering or related field
- Three (3) years experience including at least two (2) years of project management/engineering supervision; or twelve (12) years engineering experience including at least four (4) years of project management/engineering supervision. PMP certified.
- Ability to train, direct, coordinate, and supervise other project managers on multiple projects.
