Job Description:

Duties include assisting the Senior System Administrator/Technical Lead with the ongoing security hardening and maintenance of the Active Directory infrastructures. Duties also include assisting with rotational weekly maintenance to server farm which consists of security and software patching, hard drive maintenance and event viewer review, the design and implementation of a new server farm area, assisting with the installation and configuration of servers, maintaining IAVA compliance, specification of responding to trouble tickets as they are escalated from the helpdesk and assisting with elevated support events. Provide problem solving support in the areas including but not limited to web sites, hardware, software, networking, firewalls-VPN, Active Directory, and email servers. Construct and upgrade hardware; including processing and storage servers, network topology, and workstation machines. Configure Windows based software to the meet ever changing demands

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent work experience in the related field is desired.
  • Certifications: MCP
  • Skills: Background knowledge of Dell PowerEdge Servers, Active Directory, Windows 2003 Server, Exchange 2003 Server, DHCP, WINS, DNS
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.

Helpful Skills:

  • Certifications: A+, Net+
  • Background knowledge of Symantec System Center, Veritas Backup Exec, EMC NAS, WSUS, SMS, IAVA compliance, SQL Server, IIS 6.0, PKI, Tumbleweed, G/On, Cisco VPN client software
