Job Description

MicroTech employs talented and committed professionals in the following areas of focus: Information Technology (IT) Services, Business Process Improvement (BPI), Strategic Consulting, Application Services, Technology Solutions, and Managed Services. MicroTech is currently seeking qualified senior level SharePoint 2003 and MOSS 2007 design, customization, implementation and management candidates to work on a variety of engagements that have a high level of visibility within the Department of Defense. These engagements will provide an environment to work side by side with our Microsoft partners within the Continental United States (CONUS) as well as outside of the Continental United States (OCONUS) for a variety of government agencies. The qualified candidate must be able to present an expert level of proficiency in the following areas:

• Ability to interface with a variety of customers to determine mission needs and objectives to formulate and develop an overall architecture and design of a SharePoint 2003 and/or MOSS 2007 implementation.
• Ability to distinguish and effectively articulate the benefits of implementing a solution based on the technology bundled within each of the SharePoint 2003 and MOSS 2007 applications
• Ability to provide the technical expertise in identifying and evaluating the system requirements that will facilitate the encompassing architecture.
• Ability to produce accurate documentation to outline the design, testing and implementation phases for a project, complete with timelines and achievable milestones as well as the ability to brief the status of these timelines to senior level officials.
• Ability to customize the SharePoint 2003 and/or MOSS 2007 environments utilizing the native web parts or by utilizing customized applications written in C#, .Net or equivalent language to facilitate the mission requirements of the customer
• Ability to effectively troubleshoot an existing SharePoint 2003 and/or MOSS 2007 environment to correct connectivity, content and performance issues
• Ability to design and implement disaster recovery solutions
• Ability to provide customized training to onsite administrative personnel
• Ability to evaluate and test 3rd party applications to determine their compatibility with the SharePoint 2003 and MOSS 2007 environments.
• Ability to analyze an existing SharePoint deployment and recommend upgrades or migration strategies to facilitate Microsoft best practices and improved business needs with the application suites
• Ability to manage and administrate a SQL environment

Job Requirements

• Bachelors in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent work experience in the related field is desired.
• 3 + years demonstrated experience with the design, implementation, customization and management of MS SharePoint Portal Server 2003 and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007 in an enterprise environment
• 3 + years demonstrated knowledge with SQL server
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
