Job Description

• Provide UNIX systems admin support in the areas of Internet, Intranet, Electronic Messaging and Data Exchange
• Provide support for Internet Unix mail hubs
• Provide support as a UNIX systems admin for various platforms, UNIX Heavy, UNIX Flex and Data Exchange environments
• Implementation of SMTP routers
• Design and maintain UNIX Server infrastructure
• Lead the administration of multiple groups of Solaris 10 based servers
• Analysis, performance tuning and monitoring of UNIX Web and Internet email servers
• Compile, install and configure Sendmail
• Support for the Sendmail daemon running on all UNIX platforms
• Lead the architecture and implementation of the Sophos PureMessage application
• Provide agency-wide level 3 support for Sophos PureMessage
• Interface with MS Exchange engineers to provide interconnection with the Exchange environment
• Write and maintain in-house C, C++, C#, and Perl applications relating to the email environment

Job Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent work experience in the related field is desired
• 5 + years experience with UNIX (Solaris 8, 9, and 10 preferred), Sendmail, MS Exchange, Sophos PureMessage, C++, PERL, CA eTrust, Tivoli
