Vienna, VA, August 19, 2008 - MicroTech, a premier Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned and 8(a) Small Business, announced today that the General Services Administration (GSA) selected MicroTech to support the GSA, Federal Acquisition Service (FAS) business line applications and the Presidential Transition Team (PTT). GSA provides the same facilities and support services to the President-elect Transition Team as it provides to all GSA customers, including office space, telecommunications, information technology (IT) services and equipment, and furnishing supplies. To support the 2008 PTT, the GSA Federal Acquisition Service (FAS) Office of the Chief Information Officer (CIO) is responsible for all IT services including telecommunications. This support includes the full lifecycle of this IT infrastructure starting from collection of requirements, design, implementation, operations, and at the conclusion of the transition of the new Government, the disposition of the infrastructure. MicroTech teamed with Unisys on the bid to provide a wide array of specialized services in support of GSA, Federal Acquisition Service (FAS) business line applications, and the Presidential Transition Team (PTT).
