Vienna, VA – October 13, 2010—MicroTech, a leading technology and systems integrator, has been recognized by the Washington Business Journal as the No. 1 returning private company to the Fast 50 survey of fastest growing companies. The 2010 Fast 50 covers average annual business growth for the period between 2007 and 2009. The 50 regionally-based companies that have the highest percentage of revenue growth make the coveted list. The ranking were announced October 7th, at the Carnegie Institution for Science, in Washington DC.
One of America's small business success stories, MicroTech (www.MicroTech.net) provides Systems Integration, Technology Solutions, and Unified Communications and Collaboration (UCC) primarily in government computing environments - managing over half-a-million tech users in the public sector daily. A Prime Contractor on more-than-100 Federal projects and 20-plus contract vehicles, MicroTech offers access to 2500 vendors and 500,000 tech products and services across the government.
Even though MicroTech is in the Top 10 of the youngest companies included in this year's survey, they have proven to be a resilient member of the highly competitive list; 37 businesses were named to the list for the first time.
"This is our third consecutive year in the Top 10 of Washington's fastest growing companies," said Tony Jimenez, MicroTech President & CEO. "Anytime we are included in the company of such a group of standout businesses, it is indeed an honor. This selection reinforces our consistent success in the face of economic uncertainty; adding new customers, discovering new markets, and expanding our capabilities to add value to what we offer."
"The companies that make this list are, by definition, among the most dynamic in our region," said Alex Orfinger, publisher of the Washington Business Journal. "Especially this year, they have beaten the odds imposed by the Great Recession, making membership on this elite list all the more impressive. These companies are showing all of us what qualities it takes to grow in challenging times."
